The Multimodal Monitoring Center is a state-of-the-art space with a high-definition video wall and advanced GPS technology, from which a team of trained operators permanently monitors their different fleets of units, quickly interpreting the video material and the series of data provided by the geofences (virtual geographic delimitations) established for the units.
This allows them to accurately record and manage the movements made by their tractor-trailers and, therefore, to react immediately to any type of mishap or extraordinary event that may occur during the different routes, avoiding risks to the goods of their logistics partners and, in turn, allowing them to obtain a mirror account that allows them to keep abreast of the routes of their loads in real time.
This is one of the key tools that make up the company’s strategic security plan, which will be complemented in the coming months with its participation in the Authorized Economic Operator (AEO) certification program, which seeks to strengthen the security of its logistics and transportation operations by implementing and complying with a series of security standards and administrative processes aimed at mitigating risks and/or illegal acts.
Thanks to this certification, Multimodal Logistics of Altamira (MLA), the segment dedicated to Multimodal’s foreign transportation will soon be recognized as a safe company before the customs authority, endorsing itself as such before its logistics partners and continuing as it has for more than two decades with its work, making logistics that gives confidence!
